Terms & Conditions of Membership

Official Document

RIFAH Chamber of Commerce and Industry

These terms govern your membership application, directory presence, and participation in RIFAH Chamber initiatives.

1. Information Accuracy & Right of Acceptance / Termination

I, on behalf of my enterprise, hereby declare that all the information submitted by me is authentic, current, and correct to the best of my knowledge. I acknowledge that RIFAH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY ('RIFAH') reserves the sole and exclusive right of acceptance or rejection of any membership application without assigning prior reason. If any details are discovered to be inaccurate, falsified, or misleading, RIFAH reserves the right to reject, suspend, or terminate the membership immediately without notice.

2. Non-Refundable Fee Policy & Statutory Compliance Consent

I understand and explicitly agree that membership dues, application processing charges, and subscription fees once paid are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. I grant my unconditional consent to RIFAH to verify, process, and retain submitted business data for chamber administration, official member directory publications, and statutory compliance submissions required by Central or State Government authorities.

3. Facilitation Platform Scope & Commercial Autonomy

RIFAH operates platforms including chapter networking meets, sector-specific conclaves, industrial expos, digital marketplaces, and international trade delegations solely to facilitate introductions, economic development, and member networking. All commercial discussions, quotations, joint ventures, investments, contracts, trade credits, or supply arrangements entered into between participants are conducted strictly in their autonomous commercial capacity, at their own independent discretion and risk.

4. Absolute Limitation of Chamber Liability

RIFAH, its directors, office bearers, chapter convenors, employees, and regional committees are not parties to, nor guarantors of, any commercial dealings between members or third parties. RIFAH disclaims all liability for commercial defaults, delayed deliveries, payment disputes, quality discrepancies, or any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential losses arising from member-to-member or member-to-external transactions.

5. Code of Ethical Conduct & Commercial Integrity

Every member pledges to uphold the highest standards of commercial ethics, honest representation, fair trade pricing, transparent contractual commitments, and timely settlement of financial obligations. Any proven instance of financial fraud, unfair competition, misrepresentation, or deliberate contractual default will result in immediate disciplinary review, revocation of membership, and public blacklisting within the Chamber.

6. Intellectual Property & Brand Asset Usage

The RIFAH Chamber name, logo, trade insignia, verified credentials, and digital seals remain the exclusive intellectual property of RIFAH Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Members in good standing are granted a revocable, non-exclusive license to display the 'RIFAH Verified Member' badge solely on their official marketing collaterals and corporate websites in compliance with published branding guidelines. Unauthorized alterations, sub-licensing, or misuse following membership expiry is strictly prohibited.

7. Event Participation, Conclaves & Delegation Protocols

Registration for Chamber trade meets, state conclaves, national conventions, and international business delegations is subject to adherence to Chamber protocol, timely payment of delegate passes, and compliance with the host country's immigration and trade laws. RIFAH reserves the right to deny admission or remove any attendee whose conduct disrupts proceedings or compromises the Chamber's reputation.

8. Anti-Bribery, Sanctions & Statutory Adherence

Members warrant that their commercial operations comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering (AML), and taxation regulations. RIFAH maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against corrupt practices, bribery, illicit kickbacks, or dealings with sanctioned individuals or banned commercial entities.

9. Internal Grievance Redressal & Mediation Framework

In the event of an inter-member dispute arising from networking interactions within the Chamber, members are encouraged to notify the Chamber Secretariat to seek voluntary, non-binding mediation through the RIFAH Ethics & Advisory Council. Such mediation is an amicable dispute facilitation mechanism and does not constitute formal legal arbitration nor does it impose financial liabilities on the Chamber.

10. Amendments, Policy Updates & Legal Jurisdiction

RIFAH Chamber reserves the right to amend, augment, or modify these Terms & Conditions, membership fee schedules, and governance guidelines at any time with notification through the official portal. Continued utilization of Chamber services or listing on the directory constitutes acceptance of revised terms. All legal matters, interpretations, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over the Chamber's registered headquarters.

11. Digital Marketplace Listings & Product Integrity

Members listing products, services, industrial commodities, or technologies on the RIFAH Marketplace represent and warrant that they possess all lawful titles, licenses, patents, and distribution rights. Listings must not infringe upon third-party intellectual property, offer counterfeit merchandise, or distribute restricted commodities. RIFAH reserves the right to immediately de-list non-compliant catalogues.

12. Force Majeure & Chamber Operations

RIFAH shall not be held liable or deemed in default for delays, postponements, or cancellations of Chamber events, delegations, trade conclaves, or platform services resulting from acts of God, extreme natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, government lockdown orders, war, civil commotion, or utility grid failures beyond reasonable administrative control.

13. Electronic Notices, Communication Consent & Delivery

By applying for membership, members expressly consent to receive official chamber notices, election communications, governance updates, and transaction confirmations electronically via registered email, official portal announcements, or verified messaging services. Any electronic notice dispatched to the member's registered contact address is deemed legally served within 24 hours of transmission.

14. Confidentiality of Chamber Proceedings & Closed Assemblies

Internal deliberations, chapter executive committee meetings, voting tallies, proprietary trade delegation briefs, and unpublished policy documents shared during closed-door Chamber assemblies are strictly confidential. Members shall not disclose, leak, or publish proprietary Chamber discussions without prior written authorization from the Central Governing Board.

15. Severability, Survival & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that specific provision shall be deemed severable and shall not impair the validity or enforceability of the remaining clauses. Clauses concerning indemnification, liability limitation, dispute resolution, and intellectual property shall survive any termination or expiry of membership.
